Small Business Web Design in Victoria, BC

Eternitees.ca is a little print-on-demand shop that I’ve set up for selling t-shirts and other items.  The shop is set up using WordPress / WooCommerce with the Printful integration plugin for print-on-demand printing services.

Jeremy Jones is a Seattle based drummer and composer.  Jeremy contacted me to design a digital album cover for his new album, The Eternal Path, and to refresh his old website.

We built Jeremy’s new website using WordPress and Elementor page builder.  The website features YouTube playlist galleries that will allow Jeremy to add new videos to his website via YouTube.  His sheet music page uses WordPress’s custom post type feature to allow easy alphabetizing of the posts.

Chris Peereboom’s new website is built using WordPress and the Elementor page builder.  The website features a mortgage calculator, market evaluation form, and an automated real estate listing feed showing listings from the Victoria Real Estate Board. 

Logo and website redesign for Inner Vision Health & Wellness. Karyn from Inner Vision recently moved her business to Victoria and wanted a new web presence to attract clients to her Health Coaching and Registered Massage Therapy business.

Innervison.ca is built with WordPress using the Gutenberg editor.

Karyn’s WordPress blog will allow her to publish recipes and health tips for her clients.

The Inner Vision website follows  2.1 Level AA WCAG accessibility guidelines.

a newsletter plugin is integrated into the website that Karyn can use to connect with her clients.

This new website for Hatchet & Seed was designed and built using the Elementor page builder for WordPress.  The new design makes better use of the excellent photographs of their edible gardens.   A redesign and re-organization of their blog makes it easier to find useful garden tips.  A google review widget on their “About Us” page shows off their many 5 star reviews.

I designed this website using Affinity Designer and using free photography from Unsplash.com.  This design was created purely as a portfolio item for a fictional business called Westcoast Nature Retreats.

Island Family Counselling’s new website is built with WordPress using the Astra Pro theme. Their new website uses the Elementor builder which will allow them to update their content and edit design elements on their own. The website is responsive and uses some free-for-commercial-use photos from unsplash.com, as well as professional portrait photography from a local photographer.

Harmony Health Care offers in-home nursing and home care on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.  Their original website, which we had designed for them in 2009, was showing its age.  Although we had kept the website updated, including an overhaul for mobile devices a few years ago, the design of the site was very dated.

Their new website is built using a custom-designed theme for WordPress.  It looks great on phones and large screens and every screen size in between.  Their new website administration area, built using Advanced Custom Fields, allows for easy updates of the page content.

Several new location landing pages (not visible in the menu) have been built for improving search engine ranking in their multiple service locations.

In 2019 we completed this small website for eclipsebudo.com, a martial arts studio in Victoria, BC. Their website design is based on their existing poster design which had very bright colours and the custom cartoon-style graphic of the two people practicing their art.  We incorporated those brand elements into a simple responsive website design and included some CSS animations to complement their energetic style.

The simple WordPress theme has only one page but incorporates advanced custom fields which allow the Sensei to edit the text while keeping the design elements intact. The Quotes Collection plugin for WordPress highlights their student testimonials.

Jane Armor is a fantasy author with a newly released book series.  Her new website is built with the Astra Pro theme for WordPress.  The responsive design looks great on mobile phones.  Her new website includes a sign-up form to her mailer lite newsletter and a contact form.  This simple, three-page website is a great start for her new website.

Seaview Beach Resort’s new custom-designed website is mobile-friendly and built using WordPress.  New photo galleries showcase their cottages in Qualicum Beach, as well as wildlife photography taken by guests (look out for the bunny with the beard).

In addition to the website, we also designed their new logo.

Bloodhound Home Inspectors is a new Victoria business by owner James Tillapaugh. James had his logo and website designed by Mark Bawden and contacted me to transform the design into a responsive (mobile friendly) WordPress website.

The new Bloodhound website includes a blog, photo gallery, a “Book an Inspection” form, and rotating client testimonials.

I also designed some dog-bone-shaped business cards and rack cards for James.
