The Public Health Association of BC (PHABC) was desperate for a new website. Their old site was an eyesore, difficult to navigate, and ran on an outdated CMS system. The new website is built on WordPress and is mobile friendly. With a simpler navigation system, search, and less out-of-date content, it will be easier for their visitors to find the information they are looking for.
The new website includes integration of their members database using CiviCRM, an open source CRM plugin for WordPress. Members will be able to register online via the website, and PHABC can now keep all their membership information in one easy location.
Because PHABC often manages other project websites, the PHABC site is built using WordPress Multisite, so their project websites can also be managed within the same system.
Government level security on cloud based, managed hosting as well as several security plugins keep the website safe from hackers and bots.
Logo Re-Design
The Public Health Association of BC now has a colour scheme that doesn’t remind people of a funeral on a cloudy day. Not wanting to stray too far from their original design, I presented them with an updated logo shape (I’m not sure in which decade semi-ovals were popular), and several colour schemes and fonts to choose from.
